Michael Chen leads the Asia-Pacific Finance practice. He advises major financial institutions, corporations, and sovereign entities on banking, structured finance, capital markets, and digital assets transactions across the region.

Michael has deep expertise in cross-border leveraged finance, project finance, and securitisation. He has acted on landmark transactions in China, Southeast Asia, and Australia, and is one of the firm's leading advisers on regulatory matters relating to digital assets and fintech.

Recognized by IFLR1000 Asia as a "Market Leader" in Banking and Finance, Michael is also a sought-after speaker at regional finance conferences.

Advised a consortium of international banks on a HK$18 billion project finance facility for an infrastructure project in Southeast Asia
Represented a leading digital asset exchange in its licensing application and regulatory framework design in Hong Kong
Counsel to a major PRC state-owned enterprise on a US$4 billion multi-tranche offshore bond issuance
Advised a global fintech group on a structured financing and Series D equity raise totaling US$1.5 billion
